As you can see, the underlying theme of the cozy Villa is southwestern; wood, tile, cactus, palm trees and rot-iron accents pervade the entire house. Each large TV has premium cable including HBO, Showtime, music and more. Each TV also has either a VCR, DVD-player or both. Built in the 1940s and meticulously maintained, the house is walking distance to shopping on both North and East Palm Canyon Drive. Our Palmera house is the perfect vacation home for entertaining and enjoying the luxury and relaxation of Palm Springs.
The master suite is comprised of a large bedroom with a King bed, Armoire, two night stands and large closet. A large TV is in the armoire and has TiVo and a DVD player. There is also an ethernet connection for high speed Internet. The room also has a desk, chair, sitting area and sliding-glass doors that open to the courtyard patio with private pool, spa and mountain views.
Adjacent to the master suite is a den with a full size sofa bed, flat-screen TV, DVD player, and a ceiling fan. This room can serve as an extension of the master suite or as another bedroom.
Down a long bright hallway from the master bedroom and den is a second bedroom that contains a queen bed and two large windows. A six-drawer dresser, guest chair, two night stands, ceiling fan, TV, VCR and DVD complete the room.
The living room is cozy and has a stone fireplace as its focal point. On each side of the fireplace is a glass door that opens to the court- yard patio. The room also has wood cathedral ceilings.
The dining room comfortably seats six. The walls are painted a warm yellow and are adorned with rustic artwork, sconces and a large wood-framed window. A ceiling fan will keep you cool while drinking your hot morning coffee.
The large gourmet kitchen has fine wood cabinetry, ample counter space, center island, comfortable stools and everything a gourmet chef would need.
The front entrance to the Palmera house is a tropical desert oasis filled with palm trees, yuccas, cacti, Ocotillo and desert flowers. The courtyard patio has a wood gazedo covering a large table with six sling-back patio chairs. Pictures don't do justice to the view of Mt. San Jacinto which lies just to the west. A brand new pool and spa will be available for guests as of October 15, 2005. Those pictures will be on this webpage shortly. Abundant citrus trees complete this incredible vacation home and allow guests to have fresh juice every morning of their stay.
